Electric Fish: Bring my Dead Body to the Surface is an invocative dance. Dancers navigate the boundaries of voluntary and involuntary motion through proprioceptive breathing and bioelectricity. Drawing from the way schools of fish use electrical signals to move as a single entity, the piece explores our own sensory interconnectedness. Inspired by the vibrant energy of Central American Afro-Caribbean carnivals, the work reimagines collective joy as a human power source—a living battery fueled by free-form, vernacular movement, and communal energy.
