The Square: Displacement with no End

2023

The Square: Displacement with no End was commissioned and premiered at the Abrons Arts Center in New York City in Spring 2023.

Conceived as a set of instructions that transforms the space into a geopolitical laboratory, the piece is a trance-like reflection on lineage, migration, and the body as material.

The Square: Displacement with no End exists in conceptual dialogue with The Circle or Prophetic Dream to create the diptych Sacred Geometry, as part of Núñez's larger body of work.

The Square: Displacement with no End was made possible by a generous grant from the Mellon Foundation.
